Every child who loves hip hop and writes their own music has one big dream, and that's to become a star. When you look at a artist such as J Garcia you come to think does he have what it takes to have a impact in the game? Judging by looking at his outter appearance, most people doubt his presence until it is felt when they hear what he has to offer. Born and raised in Coatesville PA. wasn't an easy process, his mother and step father worked hard to move his family to the suburbs for a better life . Being a quiet, humble kid, he just observed and took heed to everyday life experiences and avoided letting the outside world and so called street life lure him in. Learning what his art and passion was at a young age, he began writing poetry, listening, understanding, and connecting with hip hop. He quickly knew what he was put here for and what he was destined to do. At the age of 15, J Garcia got familiar with the studio and started recording. Due to lack of motivation and determination with his old team it took him until the age of 21 to slowly start getting a buzz and pushing his music. He stated: “When people don't have the same drive, dedication, and love for the same things you do it won't work out. Sometimes you gotta break away from that negative energy because it’s only holding you back.” At the age of 23 J Garcia has put out two mixtapes; ‘Worth The Wait’, and ‘No Jokes No Games’. Having good success with them both, he has earned his respect, credit, and recognition he deserves. Being the newest member of the DTR family, he is well motivated and is ready for the future. He states: “Becoming a part of the DTR family was a good move, they’re focused, determined, and they have the same mind frame and mentality I have if not better, I like that , hard work brings success, I feel the love and support here and I'm ready for whatever DTR all day.” With that said be on the look out for what's coming next in the future!
