To become successful in the music industry, you must stand out more than the next guy. With his unique word-play and witty punchlines, accompanied by a "swagged out" delivery, that's exactly what R Dot does. While much of the industry has become "commercial", R Dot found his knitch and is able to keep the commercial sound everyone loves without losing substance to his music. "Substance is one thing that most artists seem to be lacking now-a-days, and the way i feel is if your not making music with substance than your just making non-sense, I want people to relate to what I'm talking about."
R Dot is hard at work with his music everyday, and it shows! With a number of *projects under his belt, his fan base is getting bigger each and everyday. R Dot has proven to be what the people want and need, his name is ringing in the streets and the industry. R Dot has his music in regular rotation on several Internet radio stations with listeners ranging from Philly to the U.K. and everywhere in between! He also has been in rotation on several local radio stations in the Detroit & Boston area. He has opened up for a number of various established artists, with the lastest being Jadakiss, others including Roc-A-Fella recording artists Freeway & Peedi Peedi, Terror Squad artist Tony Sunshine, DJ Scratch of the legendary Roots Crew, the worlds #1 blind DJ; DJ TouchTone, and more. R Dot has also performed at a Presidential campaign fund-raising event for Barack Obama during the primary elections, and after the election he performed at Scott Middle School in Coatesville as part of a fund-raising event to raise money to send a group of middle school students to the Presidential Inauguration! Without a question, R Dot has proven himself time after time as one of the elite unsigned artists that is ready to go toe-2-toe with the industry and anything that may come with it!
R Dot started writing his own music back in 2001 when he was 16. It wasn't until 2003 when he began to realize he had some serious talent. It was then when he hooked up with some local friends and first stepped into a studio, and that first visit was all it took. "I knew then this is something i wanna do forever." For R Dot it wasn't really about making it big, it was more about the passion he had for music and just having fun making tracks, and that's exactly what he did. "I hadn't really thought about attempting to make a career of it, I just enjoyed being in the studio and creatively expressing myself. That is until I linked up with my homie B Harv, he changed my whole thought process, he enlightened me on what i really could do with my talent." B Harv played a huge role in getting R Dot's career launched, and still does. On December 31st 2003, R Dot was doing what every teenager does on N.Y.E., of course that's partying. "I was out at a telly party enjoying the night, and somehow me, Harv, Jermaine & J Hill began talking about starting a label. I wasn't too sure how serious everyone was about it, but i certainly was down with the idea. Turns out they all were down too! We did our homework, stacked up some changed and a few weeks later 'Dreams To Reality (DTR) Ent.' was established. And that's when things really began to take off!" With the talent he is blessed with, and his focus and determination rapidly increasing, R Dot has what looks to be a very promising future. "I've done a lot, came very far from when we first started, but the best is yet to come." And you can believe that!"
